Overall, the story had a good flow and was really well written.
Rocky Rochford is a talented guy. In saying that, I can only give it three stars because it was just utterly depressing. This isn’t my cup of tea. The story follows Matthew, a man who resigns himself to committing suicide out of love. He said he would die for the woman he loves, and well (SPOILER ALERT – SPOILER ALERT), he’s a man of his word because that’s exactly what he does.
He slices his wrist, the right way, not the crying for attention way as the story puts it, and he dies. Dies in a bloody heap. I didn’t mind that the story didn’t have a happy ending, because, well, life sucks and then you die. It was just the overall depressing and gut-wrenching final moments of a man bound to keep his word.
If you don’t mind depressing reads, then this is the right story for you.
